Christopher Rick
I am a postdoctoral associate in the Department of Environmental Health at the Boston University School of Public Health. I work on the Transportation, Equity, Climate, and Health Project to develop and research transportation solutions -- in collaboration with environmental justice advocacy groups -- to reduce the environmental impact of transportation and improve health outcomes, with a particular emphasis on environmental justice communities.
I earned my PhD in Public Administration from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs, Syracuse University in 2022. I am an urbanist and my research lies at the nexus of transportation, environment, education, and health policy.
My job market paper (updated version forthcoming) examines whether school transportation policy can be leveraged to reduce urban congestion.
